Onwards and Upwards
- My Story
- November 26, 2018
For 2018 and after a brief return to the kart track, I switched to i-Racing with Northern Lights Racing and set my eyes on the future. In between moving quickly through the I-Racing grades and setting a NEW WORLD RECORD for the Nürburgring my dream of moving back to the track in a big way was still very strong. The driver recruitment program for the NASCAR Whelen EURO Series caught my eye and that was set as my target for the year ahead. After successfully applying for the program I was selected as one of just 25 drivers from around the globe to test one of their cars. Following the test on November 8th I was told I was to be one of the selected drivers to receive the support from NASCAR to guarantee myself a place on the grid for the 2019 season. This means that when I take the grid in Valencia in April I will be not only the first ever Scottish NASCAR driver but also the youngest driver of all time.
